Johan's story
When I first left my son at daycare, I was heartbroken. He was sad, and I felt powerless. As a father, I’ve always worked hard to give my son the best from organic, non-toxic meals to developmentally appropriate toys and a home environment that encourages exploration and resilience. Hearing him say, “Dada, I did it all by myself,” whether after riding a bike or using his words to self-regulate, reminds me why I’m so passionate about early childhood care.
I want to support two kinds of parents: those seeking a nurturing space where individuality is valued, and those who simply want the best for their child but may not have the means. My dream is to one day offer scholarships to families in need because every child deserves the kind of love and care we give at Tiny Roots Christian Academy.
Balancing my current job supporting children with autism, being present for my wife and kids, and building this vision late into the night has been hard. But what keeps me going is my faith in Jesus Christ. I believe deeply in His words: “Let the little children come to me…” (Matthew 19:14). That’s what Tiny Roots is about, welcoming each child with love, peace, and purpose.
I hope families feel comforted knowing their children are in a place filled with joy, faith, clean air, nature-based learning, and the kind of care that leaves a lifelong impact.
