"Kiva helps an organic farm expand"

- Greg, Willow Wisp Organic Farm
My name is Greg Swartz, and I am an organic farmer from PA. I started Willow Wisp Organic Farm in 2007 to grow a diverse mix of organic produce. I farm because I love to eat well and I love sharing good food with my community. I also like working with natural systems in a way that is sustainable and that increases the health of the soil and our crops over the long term.
I used the Kiva loan to install deer fence around our new farm. We purchased a new farm last year in order to expand production - more good food for more people! The expansion also means more jobs for local people!
My advice to potential Kiva borrowers is to put a business plan together and capitalize it appropriately. Kiva is a great way to fund part of your business!
