A loan helped to buy a smartphone for her child's online education needs during COVID-19.

Sartikah's story

Good day, lenders!

Meet one of KBMI’s clients, Sartikah. She is 49 years old and married with two daughters. Sartikah runs a food stall and her husband runs a business of fish farming. One of her children is still in school.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Sartikah's family is the implementation of school from home using an online system. This made it difficult for her child to access the course materials and send assignments to the teacher.

Sartikah has applied for a loan of 2,200,000 Indonesian rupiahs (IDR) from KBMI at Parung Branch to buy a smartphone for her child's online education needs during COVID-19. Her income is not sufficient to buy a smartphone, but she will be able to repay the loan with the profits generated from her business.

Sartikah is a very hard working mother who always strives for the best for her children, improving their living conditions and creating a happy life. She is very grateful for the opportunity and wants to thank to all lenders.

Note: The girl in the photo is Sartikah’s daughter.

This loan is special because:

It allows students of every economic background to pursue education.
