A loan of $1,350 helps to purchase high turn-over merchandise in bulk, smooth Dacron, fluid-resistant prints, and lace.

Carlos Mario's story

Carlos Mario is a young micro-entrepreneur, 20 years old, a resident of the city of Barranquilla. He has as a business the sale of clothing and linens for babies, such as blankets, mats, fitted sheets, clothing, and more. He began this business over 2 years ago and it was born thanks to the contribution of a little capital which his parents gave him. He has the support of his mother and grandmother who work sewing and designing the items.

His customers are neighbors, friends, people referred to him, people in the area, and stores in the city. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which appeared at the global level, his work level was diminished due to biosafety questions and his income was reduced drastically.

Currently, he is applying for his first Kiva loan, with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to purchase high turn-over merchandise in bulk, smooth Dacron, fluid-resistant prints, and lace. Support him in his business loan.
